The incident took place on Tuesday, 9 October around 5pm.

PC Saul Marshall, the investigating officer, said: "The victim standing at the top of the stairs at Motspur Park station with her young daughter when she noticed two women coming up the stairs with a pushchair.

"The victim waited for the women to reach the top, when one of them suddenly stopped and shouted racial abuse at her."

Several lines of enquiries have been carried out and CCTV has been viewed at the station. Officers are releasing a CCTV image of a woman they would now like to speak to.

PC Marshall added: "This must have been an intimidating incident for the victim and her daughter.

"Racially aggravated verbal abuse will simply not be tolerated anywhere on the rail network and we will do all we can to crackdown on this type of anti-social behaviour.
