As one of the Mayor of London's Biking Boroughs, Kingston Council has been allocated additional funding from Transport for London to improve and promote cycling. Measures include improving the cycling infrastructure in and around Kingson Town Centre, as well as support to existing cyclists that live, work or study in Kingston.

If you or someone in your organisation is a keen cyclist and has a flair for teaching, Kingston Council is now offering a flexible training course to become a professionally qualified cyclist trainer.
The new flexible course consists of seven, two hour modules taken at a time to suit you. It is ideal for those wanting a professional qualification but need to fit the training in with work and family life.
The course has been designed specifically to appeal to businesses that are committed to increase the number of staff cycling to work by enabling a 'cycling champion' to qualify as a National Standard instructor and, in turn, they can train and encourage colleagues to cycle.
The course, which will result in an instructor qualification recognised by the Department of Transport, costs only £350 - for more details call Eric on 020 8547 5002 or email eric.chasseray@rbk.kingston.gov.uk
