Driving home from Raynes Park at 5.30pm and not only do  i caught up in  bank holiday traffic, but worse - bank holiday traffic in torrential rain with flooding!

I've never seen Shannon Corner underwater before and it was causing chaos right past the West Barnes Lane train crossing, back up past Tescos and on the A3.

Curry carpark was filling up too off the Burlington Road.

I imagine the usual 'river torrent' appeared under the railway bridge on the high street. Did anyone else see any flash flooding appear in New Malden, are there places we should watch out for when the downpours come?

Happy August everyone!

The railway bridge on Kingston Road near Carpetright and South Lane is another flood hotspot!

I think you should look out for Kingston Road, Thames Water don't need any more excuses to delay the works that have already over stayed there welcome, a bit like th wrong sorts of leaves on train tracks, it's probably the wrong type of water in their drainage system!!!
