Kingston Council is currently carrying out important roadworks in New Malden and Worcester Park - road repairs are being carried out in New Malden high street until Wednesday 16 November, to repair the uneven road surface by a busy pedestrian crossing point, near New Malden railway station.

local roadworks are set to make driving difficult
Thames Water are also continuing with their repairs on Kingston Road near Elm Road, that also has temporary traffic lights.
In Worcester Park, temporary traffic signals will be in place while the resurfacing of Malden Road takes place, although these works will be carried out at night to minimise conflicts with the other works.
Driving on the A2043 will be difficult over the next few days, so it would be best to use alternative routes when possible.
The works are mainly to repair patches in the carriageways following the last two very cold winters and to prevent the risk of further serious deterioration to the road surface at the first bout of severe winter weather.
They are also being carried out now to ensure that all main roads are clear of roadworks during the Christmas period so people can enjoy their shopping with minimal inconvenience.
