Kingston council are launching a campaign to find families for black and minority ethnic children.

It's all part of National Adoption week, with applications being accepted from across the whole borough and New Malden.

The reason for highlighting the importance of adoption comes after the British Association for Adoption and Fostering (BAAF) wrote about the desperate need for families.

They're launching a campaign for people to come forward to provide 'Forever Families.'

The hope is that this year's National Adoption Week will provide an inspiration for people to come forward.

To launch the campaign and in celebration of National Adoption Week, the Kingston Adoption Team is holding an information evening in Surbiton on Monday 5 November.

Anyone interested in attending this event or finding out more about adoption can call the team on 020 8547 6042.
