Motspur Park is just one of the stations South West Trains has included in it's safe station status scheme.

It's an award given to places whereby secruity at the station has been increased.

In addition, all 29 of South West Trains' secure car parks have now been re-accredited with Park Mark status.

It's an initiative led by the Association of Chief Police Officers which recognises measures taken to deter criminal activity and anti-social behaviour.

Matthew Winnie, Head of Security and Revenue Protection for South West Trains – Network Rail Alliance, said: "It's great news that these additional 24 stations have been re-accredited and we're pleased that so many passengers can continue to enjoy a safe journey with us."

"The most recent independent national passenger survey demonstrated that passenger satisfaction with personal security has increased by 4% since the previous survey."
