Netball: New Malden 49 Teddington Bears 43

New Malden B Team were out in force as they defeated Teddington Bears 49 to 43 on away courts.

The New Malden ladies were in good fighting spirit, despite the chilly weather last Saturday, as they took on their closest rivals in the Kingston District Netball League at Teddington Sports ground.

The teams were evenly matched which meant it was a good game to watch. Each team had their moments where they would score goal after goal before the other team would catch up again. 

However it was the great teamwork of our New Malden ladies which just gave them the edge. It was a nailbiting final quarter as Teddington Bears had a string of goals. But in the final few minutes New Malden dug deep and had a quick succession of accurate and skilled passes into the circle allowing Goal Shooter Claire and Goal Attack Jane to get New Malden into the lead for the final whistle.
