Cycle Superhighways into central London
The Barclays Cycle Superhighways are being built to improve clycling conditions for people who already commute by bike, encourage those who don't normally cycle to take to pedal power, help cut congestion, relieve overcrowding on public transport and reduce emissions.
The project is one of TFL's and the Mayor's main ways of bringing about a London cycling revolution, and increase cycling in the capital by 4000 per cent by 2025 (compared to 2000 levels).
The routes are clearly marked and easy to follow, while road surfaces have been improved and obstructions minimised. Sounds like a good idea in principle, however our nearest route starts in Morden and ends up in the City.

Is New Malden missing out by not having a closer cycle path? Would you like one? Do you think this is a good way of getting cyclists off the roads - and pavements? Let us know!
