Family History Course

Kingston Library & Heritage Service has teamed up with Family History Detectives to take part in the initiative, History on your Doorstep. Six week beginner's courses in family history will be running at New Malden Library starting this month.

The courses cost £35 and attendees will learn how to use family history online resources and how to get started in family history research; covering such topics as civil registration, census returns, parish registers, wills and probate and surnames. The group will visit the Local History Centre as part of the course to look at local records.

The course at New Malden library takes place each Friday, 10am-11.30am, from 13 January until 17 February.
