Local author Pamela Pickton will talk about her life and literary work when she visits Old Malden Library on Thursday 9 September.

Pamela will also introduce her latest novel - ‘If we win the pools, we can go to the Coronation’ (ISBN-10: 1849912246) - a touching story of two girls in the 1950’s from very different backgrounds trying to win a place at the local grammar school.

A graduate of Kingston University, Pamela has two further books published by Chipmunka – ‘In a place of disconnection’, a collection of short stories and ‘Beautiful Dreamer’, a story about her mother, family history, inherited family trauma, dementia and lost love.

Pamela will present her talk at Old Malden Library, Church Road, Worcester Park KT4 7RD on Thursday 9 September from 2.30pm – 3.30pm.

Tickets for Pamela’s talk cost just £2 and include refreshments (from 2.00pm) and are available from both Old Malden and New Malden libraries.
