Madingley Fire Fund-Raising Event

On August 19 from 9-2am, New Slang at the Hippodrome in Kingston will open its doors to raise money for the homes affected by the recent Madingley Block fire on The Cambridge Estates.

On Monday July 12, a major fire caused immense damage to the Madingley Block on the Cambridge Road Estates, and the billowing smoke could be seen at the Fountain roundabout. As a result, 60 families have been made temporarily homeless, and some will never be able to return to their homes.

Kingston Council did an admirable job housing everyone in the immediate aftermath, but there are still people affected who would appreciate the financial help get them back to normality.

For every person that attends the event on August 19, £2 will be donated to the CREst fund, which was set up to help affected families.
