Pleasant surprise

After a few years of avoiding this establishment, which was resting on its laurels, I have had to re-think its position. The young husband and wife team have ensured a very welcoming atmosphere and a considerate staff (a major improvement). The food is much the same on the menu but with small tweaks here and there in terms of presentation resulting in a very satisfying meal at a very reasonable price. This is both lunchtime and in the evening. However, unusually the small wine list is reasonably priced and some of the wines represent very good value indeed. Overall a very reasonably priced meal, the food is good and the environment less frenetic than of old. Well worth a visit and a welcome return to form in New Malden High Street.
